There's no better spot in the East Bay for a woman in need of a bit of spoiling to douse herself than the retail sanctuary that is Philippa Roberts. Whether you're celebrating your birthday or marking another significant event ("I gave myself a jewelry budget equal to the cost of filing for my divorce!" a shopper gleefully informed the sales clerk during a recent visit), this jewelry and charming-gifty-things boutique was made for those times when you crave something unique, something to love, something that speaks to you.
Piedmont Avenue Stroll-Featured Merchant
We were the featured merchant this September!Philippa Roberts is a Bay Area jewelry designer who creates designs that are organic and contemporary. Her jewelry can be found in a variety of wonderful boutiques and galleries around the country, including her retail store on Piedmont Avenue. The store was opened in September of 2006 and in addition to Philippa Roberts jewelry, the shop also carries work by other talented jewelry designers—such as Rebecca Overmann, Melissa Joy Manning, Anne Sportun and Heather B. Moore. The store offers delightful gifts for baby, unique wares for home, beautiful personal accessories, and even something for your menfolk. A proud member of Oakland and the Bay Area, the shop also supports many local artists and designers. Merchandise is always changing so stop by often!

510 Family Faves: Philippa from Philippa Roberts Jewelry A reader sent in a tip about Philippa Roberts Jewelry which piqued my interest in the artist, mother, and Piedmont Avenue store owner. Philippa designs jewelry inspired by shapes found in both nature and urban architecture. Her own working studio serves as a store to sell her modern designs along with other home, gift and baby merchandise.

Harry Winston, who needs him? We’ll make our own jewelry! Well, that didn’t go over that well actually (we tried using some beads, and vague enthusiastic attitude and ended up with something that looked like a candy necklace). Fortunately, designer Philippa Roberts was able to give us the following helpful tips about how to craft your own accessories.

Philippa Roberts for Me and You! One of my favorite things about blogging (aside from "meeting" so many amazing people!) is that I'm constantly being introduced to new brands that I love. Enter Philippa Roberts... Philippa was born in South Africa to a jewelry making family, opened her own studio in 1996 and has been taking inspiration from the pacific coast and making beautiful jewelry in the San Francisco Bay area ever since.

East Bay Gazette
Philippa Roberts is best known for boasting a jaw-dropping selection of beautiful brushed-silver and semiprecious-stone jewelry by its namesake designer. But you'll find plenty of other gift ideas here, too: several other lines of gorgeous jewelry, darling baby clothes, handcrafted candles, vibrant ceramic tableware, and more.

Philippa Roberts is our favorite home and gift store on Piedmont Ave. Philippa herself is a jewelry maker by trade, so you can also see her work at her shop. In addition to jewelry from both Philippa and other artists, the store is jam packed with all sorts of interesting and lovely home and gift items from mostly domestic designers and manufacturers.

Delicate, feminine, sterling silver drop earrings adorned with aqua stones, along with necklaces, bracelets and rings dot the interior of this boutique. Designed by Philippa Roberts, the jewelry is made on-site. In the window, mugs and other ceramics adorned with images of spiders, dragonflies and bees add to the shop's whimsy, and, in back, canvas handbags include a humorous one featuring a retro 1950s image of a woman projected on a cartoon Earth with the saying, "Love Your Mother."
